  • Curriculum Assessment: Make class visits to distribute and administer program and course assessment materials; manage assessment files; maintain database for assessment data
  • Community liaison: Conduct community site visits to facilitate partnerships between faculty and community organizations; make calls to community organizations on behalf of faculty to verify student participation; make ongoing assessment of community needs
  • Media: Update website; develop and update brochures as needed; manage email lists
  • Event Planning: Assist the Program Director with planning, organizing, advertising, and administrating faculty workshops and other events
  • Clerical: Schedule meetings of Service Learning Committee and sub-committees; respond to telephone, mail and email messages; enter assessment data into SPSS, keep files up to date; maintain office hours
Preferred Experience
  • Strong interest and/or experience in community service
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including public speaking
  • Familiarity with internet and Microsoft Office software required (experience with Microsoft FrontPage a plus)
  • Knowledge, interest, and/or prior experience working with college students
  • Sensitivity to cultural, racial, and economic diversity in the community
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must have access to transportation to community sites throughout the Huntington area
  • Knowledge of MAC/PC platforms preferred
