The Plan of Study is a student\u2019s \u201cblueprint\u201d for completing degree requirements. A student\u2019s certification for graduation depends on the completion of the Plan of Study.<\/p>\n<p>Key points to know:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Plan of Study should list all the courses that will count towards degree requirements.\n<li>The Plan of Study should not list any courses that do not satisfy degree requirements. Also see the section &#8220;Repeating Courses&#8221; in the Graduate Catalog.\n<li>Each program or college may have its own form for reporting a Plan of Study.\n<li>Your college will make sure that your Plan of Study is accurately reflected in Degree Works.\n<li>In order to receive Financial Aid for a course, it must satisfy degree requirements. This requirement is known as &#8220;Course Program of Study&#8221; or &#8220;CPOS&#8221;. Learn how to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/sfa\/check-your-cpos\/\">Check the CPOS status of your courses<\/a>.\n<li>If changes are made to the Plan of Study, the student\u2019s advisor must report those changes to the appropriate dean&#8217;s office.\n<\/ul>\n<p>A Plan of Study approved by the department\/program must be submitted for approval to the appropriate dean before the student registers for his or her 12th semester hour.
