The most common situations are described below.<\/p>\n<p>To request a secondary program, a student should simply complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/apply\">Graduate Application<\/a> and indicate intent to enroll in both the current and new programs simultaneously. In the case of a secondary program, there is no additional application fee, and the materials already on file with the Graduate Admissions Office can be used in support of your secondary program application. <\/p>\n<h2>Questions? How to get help<\/h2>\n<p>If you have any questions about a secondary program, please contact <a href=\"mailto:graduateadmissions@marshall.edu\">graduateadmissions@marshall.edu<\/a> or your academic advisor. <\/p>\n<h2>Situations where a secondary program is applicable<\/h2>\n<p>The following are the most common situations when a student may add a secondary program:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li> You are fully or provisionally admitted to a graduate degree programs which offers a corresponding certificate and you wish to add the graduate certificate corresponding to the program.\n<li> You are fully or provisionally admitted into a graduate degree program and want to add a graduate certificate that has no admissions requirements beyond the general Marshall University requirements.\n<li> You are fully or provisionally admitted to Ed.D. Curriculum &amp; Instruction program and wish to enroll in the Ed.S. program.\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Dual degrees<\/h2>\n<p>In other situations, a graduate student may choose to complete a <em>dual degree<\/em>, which is a second independent graduate degree. To request a dual degree, please follow the same process of completing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/apply\">Graduate Application<\/a>. Additional information about dual degrees can be found in the <a href=\"https:\/\/catalog.marshall.edu\/graduate\/academic-requirements-regulations\/\">Graduate Catalog<\/a>.
