And, on the back page, there\u2019s much to celebrate with faulty member Cat Pleska, and students Courtney Danielson, Dylan Haynes, Heather Lauer, and Anna Osbourne.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/graduatehumanities\/files\/Spring_2025__Newsletter.pdf\">Spring 2025<\/a><br \/>\nFor this issue, four graduate students submitted papers written for other classes but rewritten for this newsletter. Kathaleen Kuhn-Book (farmer and photographer) wrote about a keen interest in a paper titled \u201cThe Other AI: Artificial Insemination.\u201d Lisa Hamm (former military Police officer) wrote about something she\u2019d always wanted to know more about while in the military, \u201cIntersectionality, Identity, and Domestic Violence: A Former Police Officer Weighs In.\u201d Abby Parks (scholar of ancient culture and history) wrote about a book that explores social constructions about how flesh should interact with the world, \u201cFlesh, Carnality, and Human Corporeality: An \u201cExamination of Mayra Rivera\u2019s Poetics of the Flesh.\u201d Dylan Haynes (high school teacher) reviewed a book whose main character reminded her of her Dad. The title of her paper is \u201cAn Open-Minded, Intelligent Appalachian Man.\u201d And faculty member Cat Pleska gave us permission to print an excerpt of her newly released essay in Still: The Journal (Fall 2024).
