Admissions for in-person, <\/strong>bachelor’s<\/strong> degree<\/span><\/span> seeking students beginning at Marshall on the Huntington campus in Fall 2026<\/strong> are open through May 01, 2026<\/strong>\u00a0for both pathways: Admission by Invitation<\/strong> and Admission by Holistic Review<\/strong>. Honors College Scholarship offers must be accepted by May 15, 2026<\/strong>. Incoming First-Year Students<\/h3>\n

As an admitted in-person, <\/strong>bachelor\u2019s<\/strong> degree<\/strong><\/span><\/span> seeking student now in high school, you have two pathways to join the Honors College. <\/strong>You must be admitted by the university first, before pursuing admission to the Honors College.<\/p>\n

  1. Admission by Invitation<\/strong>: Based on standardized test scores and high school GPA. No application required–only accepting our offer of admission (the “invitation”).<\/li>\n
  2. Admission by Holistic Review<\/strong>: An application-based process for students without<\/strong> qualifying test scores but who demonstrate exceptional potential and fit with our mission.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The Holistic Review<\/strong> pathway requires a separate application to the Honors College.<\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\tAre you wondering if honors education is a good fit for you?<\/span>\n\t<\/a>\n\t\n

    Opting to join the Honors College means that if a prospective student were to decide to come to Marshall, they will be starting as a member of the Honors College as well as a student in a degree program in another college at the university. If they decide not<\/strong> to come to Marshall, we\u2019ll just miss having them here. That\u2019s it–no obligations. Opting to join the Honors College does not affect admissions standing with Marshall University.<\/strong> That is a separate decision.<\/em><\/p>\n
