Faculty contributing to honors education can also self-nominate to be a <a class=\"text-brown hover:text-brown-dark\" href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/honors\/fellows\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Honors Faculty Fellow<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Honors Faculty Fellows<\/h2>\n<p>The Honors Faculty Fellow Program recognizes and supports faculty who exemplify excellence in Honors education through two distinct pathways:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Recognition of Excellence: <\/strong>Faculty selected become Honors Faculty Fellows through this pathway and are awarded a <strong>$500 honorarium<\/strong> to support their ongoing, exceptional contributions to honors education, as reflected in student feedback, evaluations, and alignment with the Honors College mission.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Support for Innovation: <\/strong>Faculty may apply for funding of <strong>up to $2,000<\/strong> <strong>grant<\/strong> to support innovative initiatives that advance the Honors College\u2019s mission. Proposals may include developing new courses, creating co-curricular programs, or expanding student research opportunities. Faculty selected for support through this pathway become Honors Faculty Fellows for a defined period of their project.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>See our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/honors\/fellows\/\">Faculty Fellows<\/a> page.<\/p>\n<h2>John Marshall University Scholars Award through the Honors College<\/h2>\n<p>The John Marshall University Scholars Award program provides Marshall University faculty members with an opportunity to develop a significant creative or scholarly output. The proposed project can involve research, design, development, field study, creative work or performance. The project must be structured so the awardee can produce creative or scholarly output (e.g. a presentation, a paper ready for publication submission, exhibit, or performance) at the end of the award period. See the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/murc\/john-marshall-university-scholars-award-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MURC<\/a> website.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants must be full-time, probationary tenure-track or tenured faculty members or librarians;<\/li>\n<li>Faculty recipients are expected to devote the full period of the award to the proposed project.
