Society of Yeager Scholars seeks exceptional applicants for this four-year full scholarship at <strong>Marshall University<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Yeager Scholars will be provided with\u00a0<strong>full<\/strong>\u00a0tuition and fees, room and board, a stipend for textbooks, a personal computer, and support for a study abroad experience, an approved internship, or undergraduate research. The Yeager Curriculum includes four interdisciplinary seminars, a focus on written and verbal communication, and study abroad at the\u00a0<strong>University of Oxford<\/strong>\u00a0in England.<\/p>\n<p>The qualities for admission into the Society of Yeager Scholars are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A\u00a0<em>recommended<\/em>\u00a0minimum composite score of\u00a0<strong>30<\/strong>\u00a0on the ACT or a minimum of\u00a0<strong>1360<\/strong>\u00a0total on the SAT from a single test date<\/li>\n<li>A minimum 3.5 high school cumulative, unweighted GPA<\/li>\n<li>An excellent record of academic achievement in high school<\/li>\n<li>A record of notable and dynamic contributions in extracurricular activities at your school and\/or in your community<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated leadership abilities and actions in and outside the classroom<\/li>\n<li>Ambition, maturity, and self-discipline<\/li>\n<li>Wide breadth of creative and intellectual strengths<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The application will close Dec. 15, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>See the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/yeager\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Society of Yeager Scholars<\/a> website for more information.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/experience\/\">Experience Marshall University<\/a><strong>\u00a0for campus tours, to register for one of our Green\/White days, or to apply to the university.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Honors College is pleased to announce that the annual application for the Yeager Scholarship is now open.
