Attend an INTO to Marshall Matriculation Event

Register for an ISS Matriculation Workshop

During the ISS Matriculation Workshop, ISS will assist with the following tasks:

  1. Completing the Financial Certification Form and submitting financial documents
    • This will take care of one of the Immigration Obligation (IO) holds.
  2. Purchase health insurance through Insurance for Students
    • This will take care of the International Student Insurance (IN) hold.
  3. Submit a Travel Signature Request
    • This is only necessary if you plan to travel abroad between semesters.
  4. Pay for I-20 shipping
    • This is only necessary if you will be outside the US when your I-20 is prepared.
  5. Submit an MU FERPA Release Form
    • This is only necessary if someone other than yourself will be picking up your I-20.
  6. Answer questions about Program Extension Forms
    • This is only necessary if you are not going to meet all necessary requirements for matriculation.

Be sure to bring your financial documentation and passport with you to the ISS Matriculation Workshop!

Prepare your financial documentation

In order to update your I-20 after successfully completing Pathway, you must provide updated financial documentation.  Financial documentation must be no older than 6 months.  Proof of financial support is required for each subsequent program.  Multiple sources of funding are generally acceptable, but financial documentation must be provided for each source of funding.  Be advised that Designated School Officials in the Office of International Student Services reserve the right to reject submitted financial documentation or request additional information, proof, or financial documentation on a case-by-case basis.

During the ISS Matriculation Workshop, ISS will assist you with submitting the Financial Certification Form and uploading financial documentation. Be sure to bring your financial documentation (electronic and/or originals), passport and visa with you!

If you are completing the financial certification form on your own, be sure that for “Select the reason you are submitting proof of financial support” you choose “I am in my final term of Pathway and expect to matriculate to Marshall next semester.”

Immigration Obligation (IO)

The Office of International Student Services may apply an Immigration Obligation hold for different reasons during the matriculation process.  The reason is listed in the description of the hold.

Let ISS know if you plan to travel outside the US between semesters

If you plan to travel outside the United States after matriculating to Marshall, be sure to let the Office of International Student Services know your travel plans.  To do this, you must submit a Request for a Travel Signature.  Your Travel Signature Request will remain pending until your new I-20 is issued.
