{"id":15518,"date":"2021-05-24T11:09:14","date_gmt":"2021-05-24T16:09:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/it\/?p=15518"},"modified":"2021-05-24T15:09:40","modified_gmt":"2021-05-24T20:09:40","slug":"employment-opportunity-database-administrator-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/it\/2021\/05\/24\/employment-opportunity-database-administrator-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Employment Opportunity: Database Administrator"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Job Description<\/h2>\n<p>This position is responsible for the development, support, and management of key IT Database infrastructure and applications and application integrations, as well as the support and maintenance of application servers, custom applications, and single sign-on solutions that support and enhance the Marshall University\u2019s users\u2019 community.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist IT Management in deploying IT solutions in an efficient manner.<br \/>\n\u2022 Database Administration and Analysis<br \/>\n\u2022 Linux and Windows Server maintenance, and configuration<br \/>\n\u2022 Oracle database skills, analysis and\u00a0<span class=\"caps\">SQL<\/span>\u00a0development<br \/>\n\u2022 Web Infrastructure skills,\u00a0<span class=\"caps\">IIS<\/span>, Apache, Tomcat Configuration and deployment<br \/>\n\u2022 Application installation, configuration, and support<br \/>\n\u2022 Database cloning, back-up, and update<br \/>\n\u2022 Database support, working directly with data owners<br \/>\n\u2022 Knowledge of other Database systems is a plus<\/p>\n<h2>Required Education<\/h2>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science or related field<\/p>\n<h2>Required Experience<\/h2>\n<p>2-4 years of database management system development experience, specifically in the use of the\u00a0<span class=\"caps\">SQL<\/span>\u00a0language and tools. A minimum of 2 years of team based project experience. Oracle database and middle tier experience, and knowledge of Ellucian Banner and associated Ellucian products is a plus.
