{"id":5112,"date":"2017-05-03T15:56:28","date_gmt":"2017-05-03T20:56:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/it\/?p=5112"},"modified":"2017-05-03T15:56:28","modified_gmt":"2017-05-03T20:56:28","slug":"database-analyst","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/it\/2017\/05\/03\/database-analyst\/","title":{"rendered":"Employment Opportunity:  Database Analyst"},"content":{"rendered":"<header>\n<p class=\"entry-title mu-green bold\">Job Description:<\/p>\n<\/header>\n<p>This position is responsible for the development, support, and management of key IT applications such as the University <span class=\"caps\">ERP<\/span>, web sites, as well as the support and maintenance of many other servers, applications, and single sign-on solutions that support and enhance the Marshall University\u2019s users\u2019 community.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<br \/>\n\u2022 Provide leadership role to IT staff, assist IT Management in deploying IT solutions in an efficient manner.<br \/>\n\u2022 Server maintenance, and configuration<br \/>\n\u2022 Oracle, Microsoft SQLServer, and MySQL database skills, analysis and <span class=\"caps\">SQL<\/span> development<br \/>\n\u2022 Infrastructure skills: Linux, Windows Server, llS, Apache, Tomcat configuration and deployment<br \/>\n\u2022 Performing or serving lead role when complex design, analysis, development, installation, and maintenance is required for support and\/or expansion of applications.<\/p>\n<p>Salary Range: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.<\/p>\n<p>Required Qualifications: Bachelor\u2019s degree in computer science or related field and 5 years of database management system development experience, specifically in the use of the <span class=\"caps\">SQL<\/span> Language and tools.<br \/>\nMust be familiar with architecture and management our relational database platforms (Oracle 11g\/12c, MS SQLServer, and\/or MySQL), including awareness of advanced database functions such as replication, backup, database tuning, and features of the target <span class=\"caps\">RDBMS<\/span>. Application management and configuration skills involving Word press and\/or Sharepoint a plus.
