Once this migration is complete, those attempting to log-in to services protected by shibboleth will no longer see the traditional Marshall Shibboleth SSO page.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/it\/files\/Shibboleth.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/it\/files\/Shibboleth.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once the migration is complete, users will see the standard ADFS login page instead.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/it\/files\/ADFS.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/it\/files\/ADFS.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5>What is Shibboleth?<\/h5>\n<p>As a federated system, a\u00a0<b>Shibboleth IdP<\/b>\u00a0supports secure access to resources across security domains. Information about a user (known as attributes) is sent from a home identity provider (<b>IdP<\/b>) to a service provider (SP), which prepares the information for protection of sensitive content and use by applications.<\/p>\n<h5>What is ADFS?<\/h5>\n<p>Active Directory Federation Services (<b>ADFS<\/b>) is a software component developed by Microsoft that can be installed on Windows Server operating systems to provide users with single sign-on access to systems and applications located across organizational boundaries.<\/p>\n<h5>Which systems will be affected?<\/h5>\n<p>Bb Transact for Eaccounts<\/p>\n<p>eRezLife<\/p>\n<p>InCommon federation including CILogon, Educause, Eduroam<\/p>\n<p>Poll Everywhere<\/p>\n<p>Tapingo<\/p>\n<p>WVAquavit<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Please note<\/strong> that this is re-directing to ADFS for authentication only.
