Va. native who earned a B.A. in journalism and an M. A. in English education from Marshall University. During her time at Marshall, she was business manager of <em>The Parthenon<\/em> and completed internships at <em>The Raleigh Register<\/em> and <em>The Beckley Post Herald. <\/em>She was an influential journalism teacher at America\u2019s High School in El Paso, Texas<em>. <\/em>Following Hambric\u2019s death, more than 600 people in the El Paso area wrote letters to the school district or signed petitions asking that a new school be named in her memory. The Jane A.
