The book had been taught at the school for more than a decade without controversy.<\/p>\n<h2>2008<\/h2>\n<p>Banned from the Burlingame (CA) Intermediate School.<\/p>\n<h2>2007<\/h2>\n<p>Retained at the East Union High School in Manteca (CA) senior English class.
