The information is provided to let people know what has been banned\/challenged elsewhere.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>2026<\/h2>\n<p>The week of May 16, Florida\u2019s attorney general and education commissioner sent a letter threatening legal action against the Hillsborough School District if it did not remove 55 titles from school libraries. The school removed all of the books, including <strong>Storm and Fury<\/strong>. On July 24, Broward School District (FL) administrators also ordered the removal of these titles from all school libraries, threatening disciplinary action for noncompliance. Other districts throughout the state followed suit, often significantly exceeding the list specified in the Hillsborough letter.
