The information is provided to let people know what has been banned\/challenged elsewhere.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>2013<\/h2>\n<p>Challenged, but retained on the Easton (PA) Area High School&#8217;s Advanced Placement English Reading list despite several residents and persons from outside the district calling the book &#8220;faddish,&#8221; of &#8220;no moral value,&#8221; and even &#8220;obscene.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>2012<\/h2>\n<p>Challenged, but retained on the Easton (PA) Area High School&#8217;s Advanced Placement English Reading list despite several residents and persons from outside the district calling the book &#8220;faddish,&#8221; of &#8220;no moral value,&#8221; and even &#8220;obscene.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>2011<\/h2>\n<p>Challenged at the Easton (PA) School District, but retained despite a parent&#8217;s claim the book promotes &#8220;economic fallacies&#8221; and socialist ideas, as well as advocating the use of illegal drugs and belittling Christians. Removed from the Bedford (NH) School District&#8217;s required Personal Finance course after two parents complained about the &#8220;book&#8217;s profanity, offensive references to Christianity, and biased portrayal of capitalism.&#8221; A checklist has been proposed that Bedford school officials would use to rate books and other instructional materials.
