The information is provided to let people know what has been banned\/challenged elsewhere.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>2022<\/h2>\n<p>An English teacher at Choctaw High School in Fort Walton (FL) assigned this book to her senior class students as part of an effort to allow student to form their own opinions. Parents objected to the school board and the teacher was forced to stop using this title due to procedural issues. After a school board meeting, the teacher is working to resolve the procedural issues so that the book could be used in future semesters.<\/p>\n<h2>2021<\/h2>\n<p>An English teacher at Choctaw High School in Fort Walton (FL) assigned this book to her senior class students. She had discussed the title and her plans to use it with the principal during the summer. But when the book was taught, parents objected.
