Our 10-Day Intensive Program offers\u00a0a densely concentrated version of the Four-Week Program. Keep in mind that the two-week program is intensive. <\/b>Expect daylong sessions with homework up to three to five hours. All Medical HELP courses will be online-only, via Zoom, with a limit of 6 students per course. Contact us to reserve your spot in the course.<\/p>\n

Below is a brief outline of the curriculum for the 10-Day Intensive Program:<\/h2>\n

Study Skills:<\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Previewing correctly before a learning activity<\/li>\n
  • Listening actively and improved note-taking during lecture<\/li>\n
  • Utilizing improved memory techniques and strategies<\/li>\n
  • Self-testing as opposed to simply reviewing<\/li>\n
  • Reading critically and purposefully<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \u00a0Test-Taking:<\/h2>\n
      \n
    • Deploying test-taking methodologies for classroom tests, shelf exams, and boards<\/li>\n
    • Working with medical vignette-style formatted questions<\/li>\n
    • Avoiding common test-taking errors<\/li>\n
    • Working with partial knowledge to strategically narrow choices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \u00a0Time Management:<\/h2>\n
        \n
      • Prioritizing and preserving personal study time<\/li>\n
      • Creating and maintaining a daily, weekly, and long-term schedule<\/li>\n
      • Allowing time for friends and loved ones<\/li>\n
      • Including time for a healthy you: sleep, exercise, and nutrition<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        \u00a0Organization:<\/h2>\n
          \n
        • Creating and maintaining your optimal study space<\/li>\n
        • Getting and staying organized \u2013 home and school<\/li>\n
        • Improving organization for course notes and study materials<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Sample Schedule:<\/h2>\n

          Monday – Friday<\/h3>\n

          9:00 am -12:00 pm \u2013 Small Group Sessions:<\/p>\n

          • Presentation of day’s lesson<\/li>\n
          • Guided practice with examples<\/li>\n
          • Homework presentation and analysis<\/li>\n
          • Discussion and Question\/Answer sessions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            12:00 pm \u2013 Break<\/p>\n

            2:00 pm -5:00 pm \u2013 Varies day-to-day<\/p>\n

            • Presentation<\/li>\n
            • Guided practice with examples<\/li>\n
            • One-on-one meetings with instructor(s)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Evenings:<\/p>\n

              • Three to five hours of homework each night with optional self-directed practice on own academic material<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                Weekend<\/h3>\n
                  \n
                • Homework will be assigned over the weekend that you are in the program.<\/li>\n
                • Homework will range anywhere from five to ten hours depending on the student<\/li>\n
                • Typically, the more time and practice that the student invests while here, the more they take away from the program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
