The morning of April 6th\u00a0(8:30am-12:00pm) will be a Basic Grantsmanship session for all disciplines, followed by an afternoon session on April 6th<sup>\u00a0<\/sup>\u00a0(1:00 pm-4:30 pm)\u00a0focused on NSF submissions. The morning of the 15th \u00a0(8:30 am-12:00 pm) will focus on NIH submissions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I would particularly like to encourage faculty who participated in the John Marshall Scholars program and the Creative Discovery and Research Undergraduate program to attend the Basic Grantsmanship training on the morning of April\u00a06<sup>th<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>You must respond directly to <a href=\"mailto: plumleya@marshall.edu\">Amanda Plumley<\/a>, by March 13.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1- Confirmation of attendance\u00a0<strong>Morning of April\u00a0<\/strong><strong>6<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<em>Write Winning Grant Proposals<\/em>\u00a0<em>Core Session 8:30 am \u2013 12:00 pm<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0* REQUIRED<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2- Confirmation of attendance\u00a0<strong>Afternoon of April\u00a0<\/strong><strong>6<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<em>Write Winning NSF Grant Proposals<\/em>\u00a0 1:00 pm to approx. 4:30 pm, if appropriate<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3- Confirmation of attendance\u00a0<strong>Morning of April\u00a0<\/strong><strong>7<\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0<em>Write Winning NIH Grant Proposals<\/em>\u00a08:30 am. \u2013 12:00 pm, if appropriate<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We need this information to order the participant materials for you,\u00a0each individual attending will be afforded the opportunity to select\u00a0<strong>one<\/strong>\u00a0<em>Workbook<\/em>\u00a0version you would use the most. For example, if an individual will be applying mainly to the NSF or other agencies\u00a0<em>similar\u00a0<\/em>to the NSF, then we would\u00a0<strong>strongly<\/strong>\u00a0suggest that they acquire the NSF version of the Workbook.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u201cAny Agency\u201d workbook should be ordered\u00a0<strong><u>only<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0when an individual plans to\u00a0<strong><u>only<\/u><\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em>apply for a grant from an agency\u00a0<em>other than<\/em>\u00a0the NSF or NIH, For example, those applying to the NEH, the arts, or similar types of proposals might select the Any Agency Workbook.
