The 2021 event will be held virtually Wednesday, May 5. Advance registration is required.<\/p>\n<p>The iPED conference began in 2009 as the annual centerpiece of the university\u2019s efforts to provide high quality undergraduate and graduate instruction. In 2020, iPED became a regional conference, inviting representatives of regionally accredited colleges and universities to be both presenters and attendees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis conference is a professional development opportunity for faculty from Marshall and surrounding colleges and universities,\u201d said Dr. April Fugett, assistant director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Marshall.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe theme for 2021 is <em>The Great Educational Pivot: The Impact of Change &amp; Change Agents on Teaching &amp; Learning.<\/em> The \u2018what\u2019 of the conference is the over-arching theme of change, as embodied in <em>The Great Educational Pivot<\/em>. The \u2018why\u2019 of the conference is a change agent, as embodied in COVID-19 (this time). The theme invites faculty, staff and administrators from Marshall University and all regionally iPED-accredited colleges and universities to think deeply about change, change agents and their impact,\u201d Fugett said.<\/p>\n<p>The iPED Regional Virtual Teaching Conference is open to all regionally accredited colleges and universities. Registration is required and closes Monday, May 3.
