{"id":22231,"date":"2021-05-07T10:21:25","date_gmt":"2021-05-07T15:21:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/news\/?p=22231"},"modified":"2021-05-10T08:22:24","modified_gmt":"2021-05-10T13:22:24","slug":"school-of-music-faculty-member-to-celebrate-cd-release-with-livestream-concert","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/news\/2021\/05\/school-of-music-faculty-member-to-celebrate-cd-release-with-livestream-concert\/","title":{"rendered":"School of Music faculty member to celebrate CD release with livestream concert"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Dr. Mark Zanter, a professor of music in Marshall University\u2019s College of Arts and Media, is celebrating the release of <em>Earth endures; Stars abide<\/em> on Navona Records\u2019 release <em>Fleeting Realms Volume II<\/em> with a livestream concert on parent company PARMA Records\u2019 Live Stage concert series.<\/p>\n<p><em>Earth endures; Stars abide<\/em> for clarinet, violoncello and piano was selected from 600 entries for the CD compilation, which also features the work of Isak Roux, William Toutant, James Shrader, Fabio Antonelli and Marvin J. Carlton. It was recorded by the Ergon Ensemble of Athens, Greece, and will be performed during the ensemble\u2019s upcoming season, pending COVID-19 restrictions. The CD will be released Friday, May 14, and pre-release copies can be purchased on Amazon. Interested parties are urged to contact Zanter by e-mail at <a href=\"mailto:zanter@marshall.edu\">zanter@marshall.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>To kick off the release, the Grover Von Kampen duo will perform a livestream concert on PARMA Records\u2019 Live Stage series at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 19.
