{"id":22828,"date":"2021-10-04T15:44:00","date_gmt":"2021-10-04T19:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/news\/?p=22828"},"modified":"2021-10-04T15:46:46","modified_gmt":"2021-10-04T19:46:46","slug":"schedule-of-public-meet-the-presidential-candidate-meetings-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/news\/2021\/10\/schedule-of-public-meet-the-presidential-candidate-meetings-released\/","title":{"rendered":"Schedule of public \u2018meet the presidential candidate\u2019 meetings released"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>As announced last week, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/news\/2021\/09\/30\/marshall-university-names-five-presidential-finalists\/?utm_source=homepage&amp;utm_medium=main_page&amp;utm_campaign=news\">five finalists have been named in the search for Marshall University\u2019s next president<\/a> and the candidates will be visiting the Huntington and South Charleston campuses Oct. 11-19.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/presidential-search\/schedule-of-presidential-finalist-campus-visits\/\">detailed schedule of open candidate meetings has been finalized<\/a> and includes opportunities for students, faculty, staff and the public to meet and talk with these finalists, and to provide feedback to the search committee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Community receptions will be held on both campuses for each candidate and are open to the public. <\/strong>Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend these open receptions to meet the candidates. The schedule of community receptions is as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, Oct. 11 <\/strong>&#8211; Community Receptions for <strong>Robyn Hannigan<\/strong>, <em>Provost, Clarkson University<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10-11 a.m. on the South Charleston Campus (Academic Center, Room 210)<\/li>\n<li>5-6 p.m. on the Huntington Campus (J. Churchill Hodges Atrium, Arthur Weisberg Family Applied Engineering Complex)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, Oct. 12 <\/strong>\u2013 Community Receptions for <strong>Brad D. Churchill Hodges Atrium, Arthur Weisberg Family Applied Engineering Complex)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Monday, Oct. 18 <\/strong>\u2013 Community Receptions for <strong>Bret Danilowicz<\/strong>, <em>Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Florida Atlantic University<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10-11 a.m. on the South Charleston Campus (Academic Center, Room 210)<\/li>\n<li>5-6 p.m. on the Huntington Campus (J. Churchill Hodges Atrium, Arthur Weisberg Family Applied Engineering Complex)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The open meetings will be broadcast online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/it\/livestream\">www.marshall.edu\/it\/livestream<\/a> for the convenience of those unable to attend in person.<\/p>\n<p>Short biographical sketches and photographs provided by the candidates, as well as<strong> links to submit feedback about the finalists\u2019 campus visits, <\/strong><strong>are available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/presidential-search\/presidential-search-finalists\/\">here<\/a>. <\/strong>After reviewing the feedback, the Board of Governors is expected to make its final selection at the regularly scheduled board meeting Oct. 28.<\/p>\n<p>The new president\u2019s start date will be determined by their individual circumstances, and will be announced at the conclusion of contract negotiations.<\/p>\n<p>Community members can also continue to submit comments and suggestions through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/presidential-search\/feedback-2\/\">website feedback form<\/a> or by e-mailing <a href=\"mailto:presidential-search@marshall.edu\">presidential-search@marshall.edu<\/a> through the end of the search.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As announced last week, five finalists have been named in the search for Marshall University\u2019s next president and the candidates will be visiting the Huntington and South Charleston campuses Oct. 11-19.
