{"id":22988,"date":"2021-11-12T15:02:42","date_gmt":"2021-11-12T20:02:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/news\/?p=22988"},"modified":"2021-11-17T10:10:30","modified_gmt":"2021-11-17T15:10:30","slug":"mike-murphy-to-have-set-designs-on-exhibit-in-2022-world-stage-design-exhibition-and-scenofest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/news\/2021\/11\/mike-murphy-to-have-set-designs-on-exhibit-in-2022-world-stage-design-exhibition-and-scenofest\/","title":{"rendered":"Murphy to have set designs on exhibit in 2022 World Stage Design Exhibition and ScenoFest"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Mike Murphy (pictured), professor and technical director in Marshall University\u2019s School of Theatre and Dance, has been chosen to exhibit his scenic designs in the 2022 World Stage Design Exhibition and ScenoFest to be held in Calgary, Alberta, in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>World Stage Design (WSD) showcases and celebrates performance design from individual designers. Held every four years, WSD has now traveled to four cities: Toronto, Canada; Seoul, South Korea; Cardiff, Wales; and Taipei, Taiwan. The fifth WSD exhibition will be held Aug. 6-16, 2022, in Calgary.<\/p>\n<p>An international selection committee considered submissions from designers from around the world.\u00a0 Selected designers are invited to attend this global event, which will include Scenofest, offering opportunities for multicultural exchange.
