{"id":23440,"date":"2022-02-18T16:49:17","date_gmt":"2022-02-18T21:49:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/news\/?p=23440"},"modified":"2024-05-16T14:02:05","modified_gmt":"2024-05-16T18:02:05","slug":"marshall-universitys-first-multi-engine-aircraft-arrives-in-charleston","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/news\/2022\/02\/marshall-universitys-first-multi-engine-aircraft-arrives-in-charleston\/","title":{"rendered":"University\u2019s first multi-engine aircraft arrives in Charleston"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Amid snow flurries and a cold February wind, Marshall University\u2019s Bill Noe Flight School today welcomed its first multi-engine aircraft, a Piper Seminole, at West Virginia International Yeager Airport.<\/p>\n<p>The aircraft, piloted by Noe himself, left Piper\u2019s facility in Vero Beach, Florida, this morning and landed shortly before 11 a.m. at Yeager.\u00a0 The plane then taxied\u00a0 to the flight school\u2019s hangar under a water cannon salute provided by Yeager\u2019s crew.<\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s plane is the first of several multi-engine aircraft that Marshall expects to add to its growing fleet.<\/p>\n<p>University President Brad D.
