Smith<\/a> today congratulated West Virginia International Yeager Airport on the opening of its new $4 million U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility<strong>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the ribbon-cutting event in Charleston, Smith said expansion of the customs operation is important to the growth of the state, as well as the university\u2019s academic aviation programs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne of our most successful partnerships has been our aviation collaboration with Yeager,\u201d Smith said. \u201cAs we enter the next chapter, we will need to continue to make bold moves, like this one, to position our students, our institution and our state to compete in this fast-changing world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Marshall\u2019s Bill Noe Flight School opened to students last August and is located at International Yeager Airport.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n<p><em>Photo: <\/em>Marshall University President Brad D.
