It is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>The recital will feature two Marshall music faculty members, Dr. \u015e\u00f6len Dikener on cello and Dr. Johan Botes on piano.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cItalian composer Cil\u00e8a earned praise for his several operas including \u2018Adriana Lecouvreur\u2019 and his cello sonata presents extraordinary melodic writing similar to the lyrical vocal lines found in his operas,\u201d Dikener said. \u201cThe Russian composer Myaskovsky\u2019s music displays dark, dramatic and passionate tones with lyrical writing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The concert is sponsored by the School of Music in the College of Arts and Media.
