{"id":24586,"date":"2022-10-11T15:37:30","date_gmt":"2022-10-11T19:37:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/news\/?p=24586"},"modified":"2022-10-13T15:47:21","modified_gmt":"2022-10-13T19:47:21","slug":"marshalls-college-of-engineering-and-computer-sciences-to-host-open-house","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/news\/2022\/10\/marshalls-college-of-engineering-and-computer-sciences-to-host-open-house\/","title":{"rendered":"College of Engineering and Computer Sciences to host open house"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Marshall University\u2019s College of Engineering and Computer Sciences (CECS) will host an Open House event from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, in the Weisberg Applied Engineering Complex, 1676 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Ave. The open house follows Green and White Day activities on campus, and all are welcome.<\/p>\n<p>Students, potential students, and families can tour the engineering and computer sciences facility to see what the classrooms are like, to explore the laboratories and to meet faculty and staff.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCECS has decided to have this \u2018first-of-its-kind\u2019 open house in our facilities to allow the general public to become aware of our programs and the opportunities for students in West Virginia and the Tri-State area,\u201d said Dr. David Dampier, dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences.\u00a0\u201cWe hope that this event will make people aware of what we do and the kinds of things students can learn at Marshall\u2019s College of Engineering and Computer Sciences.
