Stringer Visiting Writers Series will continue Thursday, Nov. 10, <sup>\u00a0<\/sup>at 7:30 p.m. in the Shawkey Dining Room of the Memorial Student Center, with readings by Dr. Forrest Roth and Dr. Tony Viola.<\/p>\n<p>The two fiction writers and Marshall English faculty members will present readings from their new titles: Roth\u2019s collection, <em>Skeletal Lights from Afar<\/em>; and Viola\u2019s novel,<em> All Lies Begin with Truth. <\/em>The event is free and open to the public and can be accessed online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/livestream\">www.marshall.edu\/livestream<\/a> and at <a href=\"https:\/\/nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fstringervwsmu&amp;data=05%7C01%7CSTams%40marshall.edu%7C14f6fda4cc774b56e7b208dabdaae4c0%7C239ab2783bba4c78b41d8508a541e025%7C0%7C0%7C638030838921378699%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=LKRu64PYRIxQIrrTj7qE6MZFjt2HxH2FTE9JJP5Bnf8%3D&amp;reserved=0\">www.facebook.com\/stringervwsmu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Roth is also the author of a novella, <em>Line and Pause, <\/em>a prose poem chapbook<em>, The Sullen Pages, <\/em>and a novel<em>, Gary Oldman is a Building. <\/em>Roth\u2019s short fiction has appeared in <em>Noon, Denver Quarterly, Juked, Columbia Journal, Trnsfr<\/em>, and other journals.<\/p>\n<p>Viola is also the author of the novel <em>The Art of Death.<\/em> His short fiction has appeared in <em>Pleiades, Gulf Coast, The Connecticut Review, Aethlon: Journal of Sports Literature<\/em>, and\u00a0<em>Five 2 One Magazine<\/em>. One of Viola\u2019s stories was listed in \u201c100 Other Distinguished Stories\u201d in <em>Best American Short Stories<\/em>, and another story received a Pushcart Prize Nomination.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Rachael Peckham, professor of English and coordinator of the Stringer Visiting Writers Series at Marshall, organized the reading.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s always a pleasure to be able to celebrate new books by our own faculty,\u201d Peckham said, \u201cand Forrest Roth and Tony Viola are two seasoned fiction writers and no strangers to the A.E. Stringer Visiting Writers Series. I know it\u2019ll be a well-attended and enjoyable reading for all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The A.E.
