Page Pitt School of Journalism and Mass Communications (SOJMC) is\u00a0seeking\u00a0nominations\u00a0for its upcoming\u00a0Hall\u00a0of\u00a0Fame\u00a0class.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Hall\u00a0of\u00a0Fame\u00a0was established in the 1970s and currently has 71 people enshrined.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe\u00a0SOJMC\u00a0has alumni doing great work in every form of mass communication, and we want to make sure some of those are properly recognized at their alma mater,\u201d said Chris Dickerson, president of the\u00a0SOJMC\u00a0Alumni Advisory Board. \u201cOur graduates are proud of their alma mater, and we want them \u2013 and the rest of the world \u2013 to know we are proud of them and the work they do.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEach spring when we ask for nominations, we always are pleasantly surprised by the\u00a0accomplishments our alumni have achieved. So we are excited to announce the acceptance of\u00a0nominations\u00a0for the 2023 inductions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Potential inductees should meet at least one of two major criteria to be nominated:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribution(s) to Journalism and Mass Communications as a profession. The nominee has made a contribution to the profession of journalism or has made a positive impact upon the profession.<\/li>\n<li>Contribution(s) to Marshall University and\/or the\u00a0SOJMC. The nominee, either through talent, treasure or activity, has made an outstanding impact upon Marshall University and\/or the\u00a0SOJMC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nominations\u00a0will be accepted through Friday,\u00a0April 28.
