The goal is to identify and appoint a new athletic director within 60 days of launching the search.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe role of athletic director is crucial to the continued success of Marshall Athletics and our university community,\u201d said Marshall University President Brad D. Smith. \u201cWe are committed to finding a bold, forward-thinking leader who will build on our proud traditions and drive us into the future with innovation and excellence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The university has appointed an 11-member search committee to oversee the process and advance a slate of finalists. Marshall University Chief of Staff Ginny Painter will chair the committee.<\/p>\n<p>Search Committee Members:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jim Smith, Chair, Athletics Committee, Board of Governors<\/li>\n<li>Karen McComas, Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs &amp; Associate Provost\/NCAA Faculty Academic Representative<\/li>\n<li>Juli Fulks, Head Women\u2019s Basketball Coach<\/li>\n<li>Beatrice Crane-Banford, Senior Associate Director of Athletics<\/li>\n<li>Shawn Schulenberg, Chair, Faculty Senate<\/li>\n<li>Lacie Bittinger, Director of Student Services, Academic Advising Center, College of Business<\/li>\n<li>Marcie Simms, Vice President for Student Affairs<\/li>\n<li>Logan Osburn,\u00a0Graduate Student\/Former Student-Athlete (Football)<\/li>\n<li>Mark George, President, Quarterback Club<\/li>\n<li>Brandi Jacobs-Jones, Senior Vice President for Operations<\/li>\n<li>Ginny Painter, Chief of Staff (Chair)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CarrSports Consulting brings a wealth of experience, having provided executive search services exclusively to intercollegiate athletics since 1997.
