The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, in the Jomie Jazz Forum, adjacent to the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center.<\/p>\n<p>This time, flutist-composers represented include Theobald Boehm, also notable as the inventor of our modern flute, as well as Jean-Baptiste Donjon and Paul Taffanel, whose contributions as a performer and teacher are central to modern flute technique and practice.<\/p>\n<p>Campbell will musically introduce two works on the program by singing Giovanni Paisiello\u2019s \u201cNel cor p\u00ecu non mi sento,\u201d a melody employed by Boehm in his set of flute variations, and Carl Maria von Weber\u2019s \u201cLeise, Leise fromme Weisse\u201d from the opera \u201cDer Freischutz,\u201d which is featured in \u201cTaffanel\u2019s Fantasy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Campbell will also join Dobbs in performing Camille Saint-Sa\u00ebns\u2019s \u201cUne flute invisible,\u201d a setting of poetry by Victor Hugo. The program is rounded out with works by J.S.
