Smith Center for Business and Innovation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The event commemorates five decades of the Women\u2019s Center\u2019s impact while honoring individuals and programs that have advanced equity and leadership across the Marshall community and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn 1976, amid the momentum of the Second Wave Feminist Movement, Marshall faculty co\u2011founded the Women\u2019s Center,\u201d said Women\u2019s Center Coordinator Alissa Rookard. \u201cOver the years, the center and its staff have been the driving force behind numerous campus initiatives \u2014 from wellness programming to interpersonal violence prevention. Guided by a belief in collective action, we have remained committed to creating meaningful change.
