{"id":29348,"date":"2026-04-09T10:44:02","date_gmt":"2026-04-09T14:44:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/news\/?p=29348"},"modified":"2026-04-08T12:09:31","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T16:09:31","slug":"psyd-program-achieves-100-match-rate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/news\/2026\/04\/psyd-program-achieves-100-match-rate\/","title":{"rendered":"Marshall Psy.D. program achieves 100% internship match rate"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/academics\/programs\/clinical-psychology-psyd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Doctor of Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) program<\/a> at Marshall University has achieved a 100% placement rate for students participating in the highly competitive pre-doctoral internship match process.<\/p>\n<p>All participating students secured full-time, yearlong internships in mental health settings across the country, marking a key milestone in their clinical training.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the final training experience for our students before they graduate, similar to a physician completing residency,\u201d said Dr. Keith Beard, Psy.D. program director. \u201cOur students have already completed three yearlong practicums in our campus clinic, community settings and integrated primary care.
