The reaffirmation reflects the institution\u2019s commitment to academic excellence, student success, and continuous improvement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis achievement is much more than a successful review,\u201d said Brad D. Smith, president of Marshall University. \u201cIt is a testament to the commitment, collaboration and dedication of our faculty, staff, students and administrators who work every day to fulfill our mission of serving our students and our communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The HLC\u2019s decision follows a comprehensive evaluation process and confirms that Marshall meets all HLC criteria for accreditation and is carrying out its mission effectively.<\/p>\n<p>The reaffirmation also recognizes Marshall&#8217;s ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional effectiveness and advance evidence-based decision-making across academic and administrative units. The review team highlighted Marshall&#8217;s growth during a challenging period for higher education, its commitment to shared governance, and the university&#8217;s strong position to achieve its strategic goals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAchieving reaffirmation of our accreditation is an important milestone for Marshall,\u201d said Susan Tusing, Marshall\u2019s chief accreditation officer. \u201cThis outcome reflects the dedication and collaboration of colleagues across the university and affirms the strength of our current practices.
