{"id":29874,"date":"2026-10-05T11:13:00","date_gmt":"2026-10-05T15:13:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/news\/?p=29874"},"modified":"2026-10-05T11:13:00","modified_gmt":"2026-10-05T15:13:00","slug":"marshalls-college-of-education-and-professional-development-receives-national-recognition-for-continuous-improvement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/news\/2026\/10\/marshalls-college-of-education-and-professional-development-receives-national-recognition-for-continuous-improvement\/","title":{"rendered":"Marshall&#8217;s College of Education and Professional Development receives national recognition for continuous improvement"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Marshall University\u2019s College of Education and Professional Development has received the Frank Murray Leadership Recognition for Continuous Improvement from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).<\/p>\n<p>The national recognition was presented Sept. 17 during CAEPCon 2026 in Arlington, Virginia, and honors educator preparation providers that achieve CAEP accreditation with no stipulations or areas for improvement and demonstrate a strong, evidence-based commitment to continuous improvement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Frank Murray Leadership Recognition is meaningful because it recognizes more than an accreditation outcome. It reflects a culture of excellence and continuous improvement,\u201d said Dr. Kelly Bradley, dean of Marshall\u2019s College of Education and Professional Development. \u201cI am incredibly proud, but this recognition belongs to our team \u2014 our faculty, staff, students, educational partners, alumni and community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Recipients of the Frank Murray Leadership Recognition for Continuous Improvement are selected from recently accredited institutions that demonstrate excellence in educator preparation through the purposeful use of data, self-study and continuous improvement practices.<\/p>\n<p>Bradley said the recognition reflects the college\u2019s commitment to continually strengthening its programs and preparing the next generation of educators.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have faculty and staff who are constantly asking how we can make our programs stronger and better prepare the next generation of educators,\u201d Bradley said. \u201cThis work reflects Marshall\u2019s commitment to student success, educational excellence, innovation and meaningful community engagement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Marshall\u2019s educator preparation programs earned CAEP accreditation with no stipulations or areas for improvement. The college\u2019s continuous-improvement efforts include listening to students, partnering with schools and communities, examining program outcomes and using evidence to guide changes.
