Meet Joey!<\/h2>\n

Joseph Ritter is a Graduate Student at Marshall University, majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management. Joey joined the Marshall Online Team as a Graduate Assistant in January of 2023. Joey assists with all facets of Marshall Online but works mostly with the Online Student engagement Team where he plays a pivotal role in enhancing the online student experience.<\/p>\n

Graduate Student working towards a MBA with an emphasis in Management.<\/p>\n

How long have you worked with Marshall Online?<\/strong><\/p>\n

What is your favorite part of working with the Marshall Online Team?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

My favorite part of working with the Marshall Online team is feeling like I belong. I feel like I have a voice and people hear what I have to say.<\/p>\n

How have you grown professionally while on our team?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

I like that I am able to apply what I am learning in my courses to the tasks that I complete in my role as a Graduate Assistant in Marshall Online. I have participated in projects that have helped me improve skills that I will need in my career. I feel confident that I will have no problem switching from going to school to going to work. I am gaining hands on experience that will prepare me for my career. I am receiving feedback that is showing me where I need to improve.<\/p>\n

What might surprise us about you?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

When I lived in Florida, I would go to the beach at least once per weekend. What I looked forward to the most was searching for shark teeth. It was cool to see all the different types and I now have hundreds in my collection.<\/p>\n

What is your favorite part about Marshall University?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

I love that I feel like I am a part of a huge family. I just feel welcomed.<\/p>\n

What are your future plans for after you leave Marshall? If no plans yet, what would be your dream plan?<\/strong><\/p>\n

After I leave Marshall I plan to have a job lined up for right after I complete school. I am looking at Toyota at the moment because it is close. I would love to work with the Ford Motor Company if it meant that I did not have to move far away. This is still building up to the dream plan of one day being my own boss. I want to work with real estate buying houses to fix up and then sell for a profit. I have the idea of owning multiple businesses that span from housing, car washes, laundry mats, storage, and rentals. This is the dream!!<\/p>\n

What did you want to be when you were growing up?<\/strong><\/p>\n

When I was growing up I first wanted to be a police officer. Second I wanted to be a mechanical engineer. Third I wanted to be a automotive mechanic. Now I am a semester away from completing my MBA. I know that I want to be in management. Right now I want to be a project manager. I also would not mind operating in either sales or marketing.<\/p>\n

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I love to work on cars, my wallet however does not. I love hanging out with friends online playing games. Last I love hanging out with my family.<\/p>\n

What advice would you give your younger self?<\/strong><\/p>\n
