The study should be submitted to the appropriate Institutional Review Board (IRB):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications for medical\/biological research should be submitted to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/ori\/office-of-research-integrity\/human-subject-research\/institutional-review-boards\/institutional-review-board-1-medical\/\">IRB #1<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Applications for social\/behavioral research should be submitted to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/ori\/office-of-research-integrity\/human-subject-research\/institutional-review-boards\/institutional-review-board-2-socialbehavioral\/\">IRB #2<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Applications for medical\/biological studies that have been approved under a central IRB should be submitted to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/ori\/office-of-research-integrity\/human-subject-research\/institutional-review-boards\/institutional-review-board-1-medical\/\">IRB #1<\/a> (see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/ori\/files\/HRPP-SOP-060321.pdf\">Standard Operating Procedures Manual<\/a>,\u00a0chapter five).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following must be submitted with the Protocol Application Form:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Protocol<\/li>\n<li>Abstract (Lay summary)<\/li>\n<li>CITI Educational Course Certificate<\/li>\n<li>Curriculum Vitae and\/or Resume for <em>Each<\/em> Investigator<\/li>\n<li>Informed Consent(s)<\/li>\n<li>Child Assent (If Applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Waiver of Informed Consent\/HIPAA Waiver (If Applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Survey\/Interview Questions (If Applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Recruitment Materials (If Applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Initial Protocol Assessment Form (For Full Board Initial Studies Only)<\/li>\n<li>Expedited Protocol Assessment Form (For Expedited Studies)<\/li>\n<li>Permission Letter(s) From Schools or Businesses (If Applicable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are not sure if a study qualifies as human subject research then you should submit an abstract to the Office of Research Integrity for a determination.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Return to &#8220;Where Do I Begin?&#8221; All human subject research is submitted via the IRBNet online submission program.
