Academic Lab Manager, II
Jessica Saunders was born and raised in Huntington. She became a nationally certified pharmacy technician (CPhT) in 2008 and has maintained that certification to present day. She has worked as a pharmacy technician at Rite-Aid Pharmacy and Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital. In 2018 Jessica graduated from Mountwest Community & Technical College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Administration.
Jessica joined Marshall School of Pharmacy in 2015 as an Administrative Associate and was promoted to Academic Lab Manager, II in 2016. She is responsible for purchasing supplies for the student demonstration lab, maintaining the lab’s cleanliness, and helping to ensure that safety regulations are met. She also works closely with the Director of Objective Structured Clinical Exams (OSCEs) and other faculty to create and organize simulated real-world experiences that allow the students to practice the skills they learn in the classroom. In addition, she coordinates various events including the Pharmacy Curriculum Outcomes Assessment (PCOA) for all the students.
