The APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Certificate Training Program hosted by the Marshall University School of Pharmacy will be offering a VIRTUAL format on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 8:30am – 4:30pm. Microsoft Teams video conferencing will be used to deliver the live session.
By registering for this program, you agree to participate in the live portion of the course by using active video and audio feed through your computer or mobile device. Credit for completion of the certificate program will only be granted to participants who complete the self-study requirements, are verified and physically present throughout the duration of the live session, complete the skills process with a passing assessment, and receive a passing score on the online post-test.
Hands-on-assessment CANNOT be completed virtually and must be done in person. These check-offs may be completed by any medical professional who has the scope of practice to immunize. This means an immunizing pharmacist or a nurse. There is an instruction sheet that is a fillable form which the assessor can enter their contact information, should it need to be verified. Materials will need to be obtained independently.
All participants must complete three injections (2 intramuscular and 1 subcutaneous)in a human arm.
Please note the APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Course requires completion of the following parts:
- Self-Study Materials (must be completed with credit claimed prior to the in-person class on 03/12/2021)
- Five course modules
The Virtual seminar at the Marshall University School of Pharmacy will entail eight hours of immunization discussion.
