Dr. Christopher Booth received his doctor of pharmacy degree from West Virginia University School of Pharmacy in 2013. Following graduation, he completed a community pharmacy practice residency with Fruth Pharmacy and the University of Charleston School of Pharmacy in Charleston, WV. Throughout his residency Chris was involved in a variety of projects related to medication therapy management and the implementation of clinical pharmacy services in a community pharmacy setting.
Dr. Booth joined Marshall University School of Pharmacy in 2014 following completion of his PGY-1 community pharmacy residency as an Assistant Clinical Professor. His areas of interest include medication therapy management, ambulatory care pharmacy, community pharmacy, and oncology. Dr. Booth also serves as Co-Director of the School’s co-curricular activities with Professor Lisa Nord.
Dr. Booth holds specialty practice certificates from the American Pharmacists Association in Pharmaceutical Care for Patients with Diabetes, Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery, and Delivering Medication Therapy Services. He is an active member of several local and national organizations including the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), and the West Virginia Society of Health-System Pharmacists (WVSHP).
