Dr. Sparks is a clinical assistant professor at Marshall University School of Pharmacy. She serves as a clinical pharmacy specialist practicing with the internal medicine service at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Dr. Sparks earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Charleston in 2011.  She became board certified in pharmacotherapy (BCPS) in 2015. Dr. Sparks has a background in clinical pharmacy management, medication safety, and antimicrobial stewardship. She has served as a preceptor and adjunct faculty for several pharmacy schools and on committees in state and national pharmacy organizations. Dr. Sparks’ practice interests include infectious diseases/antimicrobial stewardship, anticoagulation, and drugs of abuse.
