{"id":189,"date":"2010-04-16T14:52:24","date_gmt":"2010-04-16T19:52:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/physplant\/?page_id=189"},"modified":"2025-05-09T12:16:09","modified_gmt":"2025-05-09T16:16:09","slug":"campus-service-workers","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/physplant\/departments\/campus-service-workers\/","title":{"rendered":"Campus Service Workers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our mission is to provide efficient and quality cleaning services to all Marshall University facilities, as well as ensuring a well maintained and safe environment for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. <strong>See information is below:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Disinfecting restrooms and locker rooms<\/li>\n<li>Servicing offices, classrooms, labs, auditoriums, lounges, entryways, hallways, elevators, stairwells, patios, and other common place across campus<\/li>\n<li>Emptying recycling and trash receptacles<\/li>\n<li>Provide assistance with emergency situations<\/li>\n<li>Removal of ice &amp; snow at building entrances<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Marshall University Buildings include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Old Main<\/li>\n<li>Smith Hall Complex<\/li>\n<li>Science Hall<\/li>\n<li>Henderson Center &amp; Gullickson Hall<\/li>\n<li>Joan C. Edwards Fine Arts Building<\/li>\n<li>Myers Hall<\/li>\n<li>BioTech Building<\/li>\n<li>Forensic Science Complex<\/li>\n<li>Weisburg Applied Engineering Complex<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Contracted Buildings include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Morrow Library<\/li>\n<li>Harris Hall<\/li>\n<li>Prichard Hall<\/li>\n<li>Sorrell Maintenance Building<\/li>\n<li>East Hall<\/li>\n<li>Jenkins Hall<\/li>\n<li>Corbly Hall<\/li>\n<li>Placement Center<\/li>\n<li>Jomie Jazz Center<\/li>\n<li>Shewey Building<\/li>\n<li>Public Safety Building (MUPD)<\/li>\n<li>Drinko Library<\/li>\n<li>Art Warehouse<\/li>\n<li>Child Development Academy<\/li>\n<li>Welcome Center<\/li>\n<li>VAC<\/li>\n<li>Engineering Lab<\/li>\n<li>Weight Training Complex<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Special Services:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Floor work including carpet extraction, shampooing, floor stripping, or refinishing is scheduled on an annual or bi-annual schedule at no cost.
