Dear Marshall University Community,
Campus was alive this week as classes began, and we completed the last four presidential search listening sessions. Thank you to everyone who attended for sharing your thoughts with the Search Committee.
We are now entering a new phase of the search process. Monday, Aug. 30, is the target date for candidates to submit their applications, and on Monday, Sept. 6, the Search Committee will begin narrowing the pool of applicants. The following week, an invited group of presidential hopefuls will attend face-to-face interviews with the Search Committee.
Assuming all goes well, the Search Committee will present finalist recommendations to the Board of Governors Executive Committee by Sept. 30. The finalists will then be invited to a series of on-campus public events tentatively scheduled for the week of Oct. 11. I hope you will attend these “meet the candidates” events.
Please note these dates are my best guess of what will transpire and are subject to change based on any number of factors.
