{"id":39,"date":"2013-11-20T08:39:07","date_gmt":"2013-11-20T13:39:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/rba\/?page_id=39"},"modified":"2024-03-26T10:48:17","modified_gmt":"2024-03-26T15:48:17","slug":"adding-or-dropping-a-course","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/rba\/adding-or-dropping-a-course\/","title":{"rendered":"Adding or Dropping a Course"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"w-full xl:container mx-auto px-6\">The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/calendar\/academic\/\">University Academic Calendar<\/a>\u00a0lists specific deadline dates for course adds and drops.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Final Drop Date:<\/strong>\u00a0Tenth Friday in a Regular Term<\/p>\n<h2>Grades Assigned for Dropping Individual Courses<\/h2>\n<p>Students dropping a course or withdrawing from the university during the Withdrawal period (which lasts until the tenth Friday after the first class day of the regular semester will receive a grade of W.<\/p>\n<p>For eight week courses, summer sessions and other courses of varying lengths, the withdrawal period ends the Friday immediately following the two thirds point in the course.<\/p>\n<p>Exact withdrawal dates are published in the Schedule of Courses and in the annual\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/calendar\/academic\/\">University Academic Calendar<\/a>.
