These instructions explain how to set up reserved seats in Banner 9 using the SSASECT form.<\/p>\n

Accessing Reserved Seats<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Navigate to SSASECT<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Enter an existing CRN<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Select the second tab: Section Enrollment Information<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  4. Click the Reserved Seats<\/strong> sub\u2011tab.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Adding Reserved Seats<\/h3>\n
      \n
    1. Click Insert<\/strong> on the far right of the screen (under Details<\/strong>, not Totals), or press the Down Arrow<\/strong> key.<\/li>\n
    2. In the second field, enter E<\/strong> as the Campus Code<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    3. After entering the campus code, a new field labeled Reserved Maximum<\/strong> will appear with a default value of 0.<\/li>\n
    4. Enter the number of seats to reserve for E\u2011campus students.<\/li>\n
    5. Save your changes by pressing F10<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Example:<\/strong> If 5 seats are reserved for E\u2011campus students, enter 5<\/strong> in the Reserved Maximum field.<\/p>\n

      Enrollment Impact<\/h3>\n

      Once reserved seats are added, the total enrollment for the section will reflect both the general enrollment and the reserved seats.<\/p>\n

      Required Attributes (SSADETL)<\/h3>\n

      The following attributes must be added to sections that use reserved seats:<\/p>\n

      • RESE<\/strong> \u2013 Reserved Seats<\/li>\n
      • AO<\/strong> \u2013 Asynchronous Online<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Important Reminders<\/h3>\n
          \n
        • If you want to restrict seats specifically to E\u2011campus students, set the original enrollment maximum lower than the total capacity.<\/li>\n
        • Example: For a 24\u2011seat class, set enrollment to 19 and reserve 5 seats for E\u2011campus students.<\/li>\n
        • Reserved seats are available only for Fall and Spring semesters<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
