Ad Astra is used to view room availability across campus. These instructions explain how to log in, navigate the system, and search for available rooms using text-based guidance.<\/p>\n

Accessing Ad Astra<\/h3>\n

Launch Ad Astra<\/a><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Go to the Astra Schedule home page.<\/li>\n
  2. Log in using your Marshall University username and password.<\/li>\n
  3. After logging in, you will be taken to the Ad Astra landing page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Opening the Scheduling Grid<\/h3>\n
      \n
    1. Locate the top navigation bar.<\/li>\n
    2. Select Calendars<\/strong> (this is the second option in the top menu).<\/li>\n
    3. From the drop\u2011down menu, select Scheduling Grids<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The Scheduling Grid displays all rooms and their availability for the current date. You can also use it to search future dates.<\/p>\n

      Using Advanced Search Filters<\/h3>\n
        \n
      1. In the Scheduling Grid, select the Advanced Search<\/strong> option located near the upper left of the page.<\/li>\n
      2. Available filters will appear and can be used individually or in combination.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Available Filters<\/h4>\n
          \n
        • Campus<\/strong> \u2013 Limits results to a specific campus. If you are selecting specific buildings, this filter is optional.<\/li>\n
        • Building<\/strong> \u2013 Limits results to one or more buildings.<\/li>\n
        • Room<\/strong> \u2013 Limits results to specific room numbers within selected buildings.<\/li>\n
        • Capacity<\/strong> \u2013 Allows you to set a minimum and maximum room size to match expected attendance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Multiple options may be selected within a filter to broaden your search (for example, selecting more than one building).<\/p>\n

          Updating Search Results<\/h3>\n
            \n
          1. After selecting or changing filters, choose Update Results<\/strong> to refresh the Scheduling Grid.<\/li>\n
          2. The grid will update to display only rooms that match your selected criteria.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Modifying or Clearing Filters<\/h3>\n
              \n
            • You may clear existing filters at any time.<\/li>\n
            • After clearing or changing filters, select Update Results<\/strong> again to see revised availability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Helpful Notes<\/h3>\n

              • The Scheduling Grid shows availability for the selected date by default.<\/li>\n
              • You may change the date to view availability for future scheduling needs.<\/li>\n
