Each group is eligible for <strong>up to $750 per semester<\/strong> for their project, event, conference, etc. Please see the <a title=\"Funding Packet\" href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/sga\/funding-packet\/\">Funding Application<\/a> for full rules and regulations.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Funding Packet\" href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/sga\/sga-funding\/funding-application\/\">Funding Application for Student Organizations <\/a><br \/>\n<a title=\"Expenditure Report\" href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/sga\/final-funding-report-2\/\">Final Funding Report<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Marshall\u2019s Student Government Association (SGA) has emergency relief funding available to assist students who have economic hardships caused by the COVID-19 pandemic or other emergencies, including weather-related damage to personal possessions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>There is an <a href=\"https:\/\/dynamicforms.ngwebsolutions.com\/casAuthentication.ashx?InstID=cade935a-cfad-4410-b039-e0d18d946b0d&amp;targetURL=https:\/\/dynamicforms.ngwebsolutions.com\/Submit\/Start\/b0a14937-4ffb-441a-8b85-e26bc7daa502?SSO=N\">online application process<\/a> for requesting funds through this program.<\/strong> Information regarding specific needs and simple supporting documentation of losses claimed will be required (paystubs, insurance claims, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>These funds are intended to help current Marshall students faced with a variety of situations, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reduction in personal or family household income due to job loss, reduced work hours or temporary furlough;<\/li>\n<li>Costs related to online learning;<\/li>\n<li>Medical expenses; or<\/li>\n<li>Weather-related damage to personal possessions that is not covered by insurance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The funds may be used to cover the following expenses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Housing;<\/li>\n<li>Food;<\/li>\n<li>Utilities;<\/li>\n<li>Course materials;<\/li>\n<li>Child care;<\/li>\n<li>Personal property damage; and<\/li>\n<li>Technology or other resources.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A committee of SGA representatives will review all applications. <strong>After receiving notification of an award, please allow 7-10 business days for the money to be processed via your e-Refund preference on record.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you have additional questions about the emergency funding, please e-mail <a href=\"mailto:sga@marshall.edu\">sga@marshall.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Collectively, the Student Senate and Executive Branch give out approximately $30,000 per year to recognized student groups at Marshall University.
