Accordingly, we maintain very close contact with incoming freshmen during their first semester; thereafter, we work much more as a &#8220;Support Service&#8221; available to serve SSS participants, as needed. Student Support Services can only be successful, however, with a full commitment from the student.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>I<\/strong><strong>n order to use the Student Support Services, we ask that freshman<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Meet once a week with participant&#8217;s Student Support Counselor<\/li>\n<li>Be pro-active by asking for help when needed<\/li>\n<li>Stay in touch with our staff and keep them accurately informed reegarding participant&#8217;s academic status throughout the entire year<\/li>\n<li>Participate in social events and activities in the\u00a0Student Support Services\u00a0program\u00a0throughout the year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The staff of Student Support Services is dedicated to helping freshman students by providing them with the the tools that will lead them to enjoy a successful college career.
