One of Marshall\u2019s greatest strengths is that each of us \u2013 regardless of our official role on campus \u2013 contributes to the success of our students.<\/p>\n

EVERY DAY, the Center for Student Success hears about a member of the Marshall Community who has made a significant difference in the life of an individual student, who has made it possible for them to succeed in college.<\/p>\n

Inspired by hundreds of great stories about Marshall faculty and staff, beginning in the spring of 2024, Marshall University\u2019s Center for Student Success formalized its process to recognize campus personnel who contribute to student success.<\/p>\n

Invitations for nominations will be sent to all students through their Marshall email and posted electronically on the university’s webpages. <\/p>\n

\n Any student enrolled at Marshall for any part of AY 2025-2026 can nominate someone.\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n
\n Who is eligible to be nominated?\n <\/div>\n\n \n \n <\/path>\n <\/svg>\n <\/span>\n <\/button>\n\n \n
\n Anyone who works at Marshall in any capacity can be nominated.

Full-time employees who work in the Center for Student Success are not eligible, however, students who work in CSS\u2019s programs are eligible.\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n
\n When can nominations be submitted?\n <\/div>\n\n \n \n <\/path>\n <\/svg>\n <\/span>\n <\/button>\n\n \n
\n Nominations can be submitted through March 13, 2026.\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n
\n Can I nominate more than one person?\n <\/div>\n\n \n \n <\/path>\n <\/svg>\n <\/span>\n <\/button>\n\n \n
\n Unfortunately, no. It is great that each student benefits from the work of many student success champions, but, as we formalize this process, we are asking each student who participates to nominate only one student success champion each year.\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n
\n How will nominees be chosen for recognition?\n <\/div>\n\n \n \n <\/path>\n <\/svg>\n <\/span>\n <\/button>\n\n \n
\n The Center for Student Success will select nominees to be recognized based on the number of nominations and the reasons for the nominations. Approximately 20 campus personnel will be selected in the following categories:<\/p>\n

  • Faculty\n
  • Staff\/Administrators\n
  • Housing\/Food Service\n
  • Student Employees<\/ul>\n\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n
    \n What will the Student Success Champions receive?\n <\/div>\n\n \n \n <\/path>\n <\/svg>\n <\/span>\n <\/button>\n\n \n
    \n This is not a monetary award. Student Success Champions will receive a plaque, be recognized by Provost R.B. Bookwalter and honored at a modest ceremony in April 2026.\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n
    \n Will I be invited to the event?\n <\/div>\n\n \n \n <\/path>\n <\/svg>\n <\/span>\n <\/button>\n\n \n
