To continue, you will need to complete the Special Requests Dynamic Form. This is a legal requirement for Marshall University to authorize the destruction of records.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Before submitting a request, please review your department\u2019s Records Retention Policy. If your department does not have a policy or is not listed on the Marshall University Records Retention Schedule, contact the <a href=\"mailto:recordscenter@marshall.edu\">University Archivist\/Records Management Librarian<\/a> for guidance.\u00a0If you already know the retention period for your department\u2019s records, please complete the Special Requests Dynamic Form. The form must be signed by:<\/div>\n<ol start=\"1\">\n<li>You (the requester)<\/li>\n<li>Your immediate supervisor<\/li>\n<li>The University Archivist\/Records Management Librarian<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div>If the Archivist has any questions, they will contact you directly. Once approved, the form will be forwarded to MUARC.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>After approval by the Archivist, please place the records in sturdy, sealed boxes. Neither MUARC nor Sustainability is able to provide boxes for shred pick up. Also, the boxes will not be returned. MUARC will coordinate with you to schedule a pickup.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Once the records are picked up, MUARC will sign the form.
