The examination takes about 3 hours and consists of test questions that measure your knowledge of English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science. ACT On-Campus\u2122 Testing is not a practice test. Test preparation resources can be found on the National ACT website at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.act.org\/content\/act\/en\/products-and-services\/the-act.html\">ACT Student Test Prep<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Individuals taking the On-Campus\u2122 ACT at Marshall University must be enrolled, have been admitted, or will be attending Marshall University. On-Campus\u2122 ACT test scores are only valid at Marshall University and St. Mary\u2019s Medical Center cooperative education programs in Medical Imaging, Nursing, and Respiratory Care.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Individuals cannot take the ACT On-Campus\u2122 test for NCAA eligibility or for the PROMISE scholarship. Marshall University does\u00a0<b>NOT<\/b>\u00a0provide extended time accommodations to the On-Campus ACT exam. Students seeking accommodations should register for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.act.org\/\">National ACT<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>ACT On-Campus Test Dates 2025-2026<\/h2>\n<p><i>Exams are in the Memorial Student Center Room 2W22 unless otherwise specified. You will receive a reminder email the week of the exam.<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>November 7, 2025 (Corbly Room 106)<\/li>\n<li>December 19, 2025<\/li>\n<li>January 16, 2026<\/li>\n<li>February 6, 2026<\/li>\n<li>March 13, 2026<\/li>\n<li>April 17, 2026<\/li>\n<li>May 1, 2026<\/li>\n<li>June 5, 2026<\/li>\n<li>July 17, 2026<\/li>\n<li>August 21, 2026<\/li>\n<li>September 25, 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Registration and Payment Information<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/Pages\/ResponsePage.aspx?id=eLKaI7o7eEy0HYUIpUHgJRHiI_OrZ4dMm2XsFbCiES5UOVE1OU0xSFU5R0pWV1Y4NU1GTlhOS1RYMS4u\">Register<\/a>\u00a0for the On-Campus\u2122 ACT.<\/p>\n<h3>Time and Location<\/h3>\n<p>Tests are given in the Memorial Student Center in Room 2W22 (unless otherwise posted). Check-in begins at 8:30 am and the test begins around 9 am. The test concludes around 1:00 pm.<\/p>\n<h3>Testing fee<\/h3>\n<p>Your $75.00 testing fee will be paid at the time of testing. Sorry, we are unable to make change or accept debit\/credit cards. We are only able to accept checks payable to Marshall University or EXACT cash. For your convenience, there are ATMs located at the Memorial Student Center Fountain Plaza.<\/p>\n<h3>Identification Required<\/h3>\n<p>Valid Identification is required to test. Your ID must be an original, current (valid) ID issued by a city\/state\/federal government agency or MU. If you have any questions about what can be accepted, please call our testing coordinator at 304-696-6391.<\/p>\n<h3>What do Bring<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Photo ID (Driver\u2019s License, Student ID, Passport, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Face mask<\/li>\n<li>Soft-Lead #2 Pencils (Mechanical Pencils are prohibited)<\/li>\n<li>Acceptable Calculator (optional)\n<ul>\n<li>Calculators are only permitted on the Mathematics test.<\/li>\n<li>Most basic four-function, scientific, and graphing calculators are acceptable.<\/li>\n<li>For more calculator information, as well as a list of prohibited calculators visit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.act.org\/content\/act\/en\/products-and-services\/the-act.html\">actstudent.org<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Important Health and Safety Information (updated 3\/25\/22)<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Social distancing within the test center is encouraged.<\/li>\n<li>All test-takers will be expected to follow the current Marshall University mask guidance guidelines located at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/coronavirus\">https:\/\/www.marshall.edu\/coronavirus.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Only test-takers will be permitted in the testing room.<\/li>\n<li>If you feel sick or have cold-like symptoms, you should not come to the test.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Parking<\/h3>\n<p>Parking will be available in the Sixth Avenue Parking Garage. The directions to the parking garage are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From I-64, take Exit 11, Hal Greer Blvd.<\/li>\n<li>From I-64 West turn RIGHT onto Hal Greer Blvd.<\/li>\n<li>From I-64 East turn LEFT onto Hal Greer Blvd.<\/li>\n<li>Follow Hal Greer Blvd. until you reach 6th Ave.<\/li>\n<li>Turn right onto 6th Ave., the parking garage will be on your left.<\/li>\n<li>As you walk out of the parking garage, head toward 5th Ave. and the Memorial Student Center will be just across 5th Avenue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to Get Your Scores<\/h2>\n<p>Following the completion of the test, test scores are sent to the MU Admissions Office. Test scores will be available to the student within two business days after the exam date. Scores will\u00a0<b>ONLY<\/b>\u00a0be released to the individual who tested via phone at 304-696-6391.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No Student Reports and no High School Reports are generated.<\/li>\n<li>No Additional Score Reports will be generated to report scores to any other institution.<\/li>\n<li>ACT On-Campus scores are not scored by ACT and, therefore, are not official transferable scores like those provided by The ACT National Test.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Retaking the ACT<\/h2>\n<p>Examinees may take the ACT no more than 12 times total. This restriction applies even if your scores from a test date are canceled by you or by ACT. If the examinee violates this restriction, ACT will automatically cancel the scores and no refund will be issued by ACT or Marshall University. An examinee must wait a minimum of 60 days between retesting through the ACT On-Campus\u2122 testing program.
